The Office of the Grocery Sector Code of Conduct (OGSCC) has launched Code on the Road, a national engagement program designed to support awareness, understanding, and implementation of the Canada Grocery Code (the Code).
Code on the Road is the OGSCC’s outreach program, created to meet stakeholders where they are. Through regional sessions, conference participation, and association‑led engagements, the program offers accessible, interactive, and tailored opportunities to learn about the Code and engage directly with the OGSCC.
Engagements are offered by request and scheduled based on organizational priorities and availability. All Code on the Road sessions are provided at no cost to hosts or participants. The OGSCC does not charge for programming and does not pay to attend or speak at events.
What Code on the Road Offers
Code on the Road supports sector‑wide learning and dialogue through a flexible range of formats, including:
- Presentations, panels, and fireside chats
- Board, organizational, or individual meetings
- Small‑group roundtables and live Q&A sessions
- One‑on‑one “speed meetings” with an OGSCC representative
- Virtual sessions and conference or tradeshow participation
Sessions can be tailored to audiences with varying levels of familiarity with the Code, from introductory overviews to deeper operational discussions about how to read the Code and understand dispute resolution processes. Programming can also be delivered in English or French.
Supporting Awareness and Implementation
By bringing the Code directly to industry events and organizations across Canada, Code on the Road is intended to strengthen transparency, build relationships, and support meaningful, two‑way engagement between the OGSCC and the grocery sector. In‑person and interactive engagement helps to ensure the Code remains practical, well‑understood, and responsive to evolving sector needs.
Organizations interested in learning more or hosting a Code on the Road engagement can contact the OGSCC team at info@canadacode.org or fill out the engagement request form.
